Game time
I am in the car on my way to Vegas as I write this. I am alert, anxious, and so alive. My friend is driving in front, and he just said,”God this is like my fifth or sixth time going this year- that’s way too much!” It is my ninth time. But he doesn’t need to know that. That number will be ten in two weeks when I go again Thanksgiving weekend. He doesn’t need to know that either. I know exactly where I will go first upon arriving. My gambling is not random. It is carefully orchestrated. I happen to know which tables and which slots in which hotel pay out the best, and I will share all this with you in the next post. As for now, I couldn’t be more certain of the timing of this trip. I am meant to be here right now, in the backseat of this tiny two door coupe, typing this with one thumb on a tiny iPod keyboard, telling you I will return with pictures and stories of success. Do you know why? By the time I’m in Vegas, guess what day it’ll be. It’s on.
